The Coastal Society's Bulletin has been published since 1977, serving as the organization's primary communication vehicle. Currently published four times a year, the publication strives to be a useful tool for its members. Each issue includes articles on current coastal management issues, updates regarding news about the organization as well as news items from around the coasts, announcements of upcoming meetings and conferences, information about fellowship or internship opportunities, and reports on coastal related legal developments. Recent additions to the Bulletin's regular features include reports from the Society's new chapters, and a feature called "Perspectives," which highlights an experience or opinion of a TCS member.

The Editor-in-Chief for the Bulletin is Ellen Gordon. Contributions to the Bulletin are encouraged.

Email distribution of the The Coastal Society Bulletin began with Volume 23, Issue 2 distributed in Acrobat portable document format (PDF) - a free PDF reader is available from Adobe at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.

HTML versions of the Bulletin became available with Volume 26(3).
