Coastal Resource Recovery
Fundraiser
Help
The Coastal Society contribute to coastal resource protection
and restoration efforts currently underway in areas devastated
by hurricanes Katrina and Rita!
TCS
is collecting tax-deductible donations for the Coastal Resource
Recovery Fundraiser (CRRF) to be contributed to selected entities
performing coastal resource protection, restoration, and education
projects in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
Donations will
be collected until September 1, 2006 via postal mail, online contributions,
and at regional chapter events.
You can contribute
by sending a check to The Coastal Society (P.O. Box 25408, Alexandria,
Virginia 22313-5408), or online through the PayPal link below.
Following your
donation, TCS will mail you a letter recognizing your tax-deductible
donation.
Recipients
Named this Fall!
A CRRF Selection Committee made up of TCS Members from Louisiana,
Mississippi, and Alabama and members of the TCS Board will gather
information about recipient organizations that conduct coastal restoration
and education work and recommend recipients to the Board. Entities
in the three states that show clear benefit to a region or community
in which a TCS member resides, or represent a project supported
by a TCS member, are eligible for the donation.
Entities will be asked to submit articles and pictures to the TCS
Bulletin so that members can see how their donations contributed
to the restoration of important coastal areas in the Gulf and education
about redevelopment.
